About MeshCrate

MeshCrate helps 3D creators explore licensed models, inspect self-contained GLB files in the browser and understand interactive mechanical structures.

See it in 3D. Build with clarity.

Tools for seeing the asset clearly.

  • Open a local self-contained GLB in browser memory
  • Rotate, zoom, pan and pause automatic camera rotation
  • Inspect PBR, clay, wireframe and normal material modes
  • Report embedded images, mesh triangles, file size and animation availability
  • Play the first available animation clip
  • Browse attributed model references and their source licenses
  • Download licensed self-contained GLB references
  • Explore Anatomy mechanical figures with interactive controls

Source and format stay with the model.

The library includes licensed Khronos and Kenney references, original project-owned assets and Anatomy mechanisms. Each detail page names the author, license and known limits. GLB models and interactive HTML/SVG figures are labeled by their actual format.

Imported textures are embedded for a self-contained handoff. High-resolution preview images are rendered from the same model geometry used by the Viewer.

Questions, answered.

What can I do with MeshCrate?

Browse characters, buildings, mechanical structures, game props and product objects; open their interactive previews; or inspect a GLB file from your device in the local Viewer.

Does the local GLB Viewer upload my model?

A chosen file is read and parsed in browser memory. Its contents are not uploaded or included in analytics. Removing the file disposes its preview resources. Public reference previews are downloaded from this site.

Which 3D formats can I open?

The Viewer accepts self-contained GLB up to the configured file limit. OBJ, STL and glTF files with external resources are not accepted by this Viewer.

Are the examples generated from images?

The current library contains authored GLB references and interactive Anatomy diagrams. Their detail pages disclose the authoring method and source; they are not image-to-3D generation results.

Can MeshCrate generate a mesh from an image?

The available tools provide model inspection, licensed reference browsing and mechanical explainers. For image-to-3D generation, use a generation tool and bring its self-contained GLB here for inspection.

Can I reuse a reference commercially?

CC0 references allow broad reuse. CC BY 4.0 references require attribution, and Anatomy uses MIT with its copyright and license notice. Review the selected model’s source and license for its specific terms.

Can I export an Anatomy diagram as GLB?

The integrated mechanical figures are interactive HTML/SVG, sometimes using WebGL or Anatomy’s 3D projection mode. They have no GLB or manufacturing CAD export. Mechanical GLB scene assets are labeled separately.
